CLUSES

Straddling the River Arve, the town of Cluses is the center of the Arve Valley. Halfway between Annemasse and Chamonix, the city of Cluses is considered the capital of Faucigny rivalry with La Roche-sur-Foron (fairs and bank) and Bonneville (administrative functions). It is also the French capital of the bar turning industry.

In winter, this is the point of arrival of many mountain lovers who can quickly reach the ski resorts of Flaine, Grand Bornand or the resorts of the Portes du Soleil area.

A few kilometers from Cluses, the area of Portes du Soleil opens you its doors. For more than 40 years it has been one of the largest ski areas in the world, with 12 stations connected between France and Switzerland, one hour from Geneva and two hours from Lyon: Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine, St Jean d’Aulps, Champéry, Morgins, Torgon, Val-d’Illiez – Les Crosets – Champoussin.

A true Natural Reserve of Powder in the heart of the Alps where the skier evolves in a preserved environment. The lifts are discreet in a wooded nature, trails slalom in the heart of pastures and forests, skirting here and there chalets several centuries. The estate enjoys exceptional snow conditions from mid-November to the end of April, with a cumulative snowfall of around 7.50 m on average per year.
