A renowned health resort, the town of Thonon-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie is located on the Swiss border on the southern shore of Lake Geneva. The town has many tourist and economic attractions. The sub-prefecture of Thonon owes its economic durability to its source of mineral water and its strong tourist activity. The city has indeed many attractive places as the port of Rives with its ecomuseum of fishing and Lake Geneva, the castle of Ripaille of the fifteenth century, or the fair of Crete, every first Thursday of September, which exists since the sixteenth century.

A few kilometers from Thonon, the area of Les Portes du Soleil have been for over 40 years one of the largest ski areas in the world, with 12 stations connected between France and Switzerland, one hour from Geneva and two hours from Lyon: Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine, St Jean d’Aulps, Champéry, Morgins, Torgon, Val-d’Illiez – Les Crosets – Champoussin.

A true Natural Reserve of Powder in the heart of the Alps where the skier evolves in a preserved environment. The lifts are discreet in a wooded nature, trails slalom in the heart of pastures and forests, skirting here and there chalets several centuries. The estate enjoys exceptional snow conditions from mid-November to the end of April, with a cumulative snowfall of around 7.50 m on average per year.
